Nathalie Stern, M.D.
Dr. Stern became interested in homeopathy during her Pediatric Residency at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical University, while searching for gentle ways to treat children's ailments. Having been raised in France, where homeopathy is part of mainstream medicine, she was aware of its healing capability and always found the lack of side effects reassuring. After residency, she trained as a homeopath and received a degree from the CEDH (Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy)
As a pediatrician, Dr. Stern finds that homeopathic medicines are particularly well suited for the care of children's common ailments. In her practice, she uses homeopathy not only to treat acute problems such as upper respiratory infections and acute ear infections but also treats more chronic health conditions. For children suffering from conditions such as asthma, recurring ear infections, eczema and behavioral problems, homeopathy has helped reduced daily doses of antibiotics and steroids which are often required for symptomatic control.
Dr. Stern is actively involved in teaching and promoting homeopathy and has been working closely with New York City pediatricians to help them better understand homeopathy and teach them basic treatment approaches for common childhood illnesses. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a member and a teacher at the Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy, and has published articles in parents magazines in the US and Canada.
