Therapeutic Touch — Practitioner Statement

“Therapeutic Touch (TT), a complementary health care modality, is an intentionally directed process of energy exchange during which the practitioner uses the hands as a focus for facilitating relaxation. I have observed that the first response to TT is rapid relaxation. Most of my patients after a TT session experience relief of anxiety, pain, discomfort and an overall sense of well-being. I also benefit from practicing this modality, not only feeling satisfaction from being able to help others, but I always feel a sense of well-being and revived energy level. In my experience, I have found that TT is an intervention that may benefit many patients with a variety of medical conditions.”
